Keep up the good work , really enjoying MIDI device, jsut trying to get my head around Different channels in MIDI if i can specifiy a CH for FIESTA i can have 3 apps off the same MIDI Device

    CH 1 Fiesta
    CH 2 ARKAOS GRANDVJ
    CH 3 Martin Light Jocky

Off 😀 same box what a killer combo that will be. 😈

Funny that you mention this as i have just gone down the road of a MIDI controller, it occurred to me that this would be immensely useful.

With the new effects from the latest downloads and the use of a Midi controller my shows have become a lot more fluid and the ability to record the output would be great.

When you do implement this, might i suggest that you allow midi to map the transport controls play/ stop /record so they along with effect, bank, bank changes etc. can also be triggered from the Midi device.
    🙂

I saw in the youtube demo you can use CTRL and mouse wheel to roll through the effect so the thumb nail image can be more … useful / discriptive of the effect

    Hope this helps

so a moving head without ilda cant be used with fiesta,

the galvos and the laser in the head can probably show the patterns but without ilda it cant recive the information from the computer rihgt?

just to reinforce the photolexicon site is worth a vist, it is a good comunity and there is a large quantity of ilda files available there.

Please can you give me the pinout of what pins should be shorted out to make this dot thing goaway as I have the same problem.

    Thanks

this is a snip of a reply email from Dusan when i had this proble a year or so back

    >>SNIP

    Dear Ben

About ILDA cable, all our cables are tested so I thing that problem was other.
I thing that with pin 7 and 14 because in standard it is for Interlock but our lasers don’t need it so this pins are conected directly together in our laser.
Our interlock is provided another. If the signal not going to laser than laser are not running so we don’t need pin 7 and 14.
Please in attachment you will find description of our conection and standard conection like is recomended by Pangolin.
    So please checkit.
So if ther was another problem Let me exactly where was problem according you.

    Thanks a lot,
<< END SNIP You may find that this will this will fix the problem as i found the cable supplied by Fiesta did not have these pins wired at all, which is fine if used on thier projectors but cab be problematic when used on other units. If you go the the laserfx web site they have a pin out listing http://www.laserfx.com/Backstage.LaserF … outs9.html

hope this helps you out, there is nothing more frustrating than having the toys and not being able to play with them.

Grrr … Can’t beleive it, my Core 2 Duo CPU in my laptop is not 64 Bit compatible so i have to stick with 32Bit Windows 7 RC.

The software installed ok and the USB device and krypto key install Fine, i forgot my ILDA cable so havent attached a projector yet.

Will post back later today (5.34 AM and still installing software) with conffirmation that everthing is sweet.

(not expecting any issues as ran on Vista #2 bit or the last 12 Months with minimal fuss.

Thank you for the quick reply and email.

Your email referees to Mocha, but as stated above i have Fiesta 2.0 USB. is this the same procedure? or is there a variation for different hardware?

    Thank you

I’m Holding off till the RC release as i do not want to have to reninstall all other apps again. I am leaning towards a 64 bit install, however i think this may cause problems with Martins’s Light Jockey ( this works in 64 bit environment but thereareno hardware drivers in 64 bit)
    March release.

    Will keep you updated.

LOOKS like legit Windows 7 RC will be May 5. will keep you posted

Actually we develop Fiesta on 64 bit AMD machine and it’s working ok. There is one little issue with the system, which handles menu display – sometimes menu disappears. But it’s not affecting the functionality. WE’re working on update, should be fixed soon.

    Michal

Excellent to hear, i will let you know of any issues that arise running under windows 7.

    Cheers

Definatly check your cabeling, i purchased a cable from kvant and the interlock pins were not shorted ( as they do this internally on thier projectors i believe) this caused me some problem initally as i have crap rgb from china an had a similar issue to what you mention.

Som projectors will not work if the correct pins are not shorted as per the ILDA spec.

No, it should be in Fiesta’s directory. Anyway please try to install latest drivers(especially for your graphic card) and let us know. Have you used XP before? Or that 38 week satisfaction was already Vista?

    Michal

The graphics card drivers are upto date and no new software has been installed recently.

The systme has been running off this platform for 38 weeks with vista first with fiesta 2 then fiesta 2.2

neither of the files mentioned are in the fiesta folder.

Any help or advise is appreciated.
